Gladiolus Care Instructions

Keep the flowers cool at all times.

Strip leaves from the lower half of each stem and wash any dirt off.

Once you have cut the stems place in water immediately.

Make sure they always get lots of water as they will suffer if they do not receive enough.

Preservative is essential as this will inhibit bacterial growth, as well as helping the buds to open.

Replace vase water everyday to avoid stagnation.

Remove any faded flowers as this encourages others to open.

Keep them away from fruit, car exhausts and cigarette smoke as they are sensitive to ethylene gas.
