Rose Care Instructions
Keep them cool.
Strip all leaves from the bottom 2/3 of each stem.
Don’t bash the stems as this prevents them taking up water effectively.
Don’t remove thorns unless it’s for a hand-held posy as these can cause wounds on the stem where bacteria can enter and shorten the display life of the roses.
Place roses in a vase of cold, clean water with preservative and replace the water every 2 days – don’t just top it up, replace it completely.
To nourish flowers after the preservative is used up, refill your vase every day with a solution of one teaspoon of sugar and two drops of liquid bleach per gallon of fresh, cold water.
Limp roses can be revived by standing up to their necks in lukewarm water in a cool room.
